Firsts are always special, and this was no different. After months of toiling, hard lessons learned, blood/sweat/tears, and all the other clichés, I finally delivered my first commission to a customer. Two of these twist tables and a huge custom step box that will be used for a hanging day bed in the client's home. Made from quartersawn white oak, ebonized with iron acetate, and finished with RMP Finishes Outdoor Defense Oil. They aren't perfect by any means, but I'm extremely proud of them!

New product alert! We'll soon be launching some valet trays to organize your EDC items. Our test piece seen here was made with walnut and maple and turned out beautifully. We'll have some other versions as well that include space for your phone and other items. Should we add magsafe charging as well? Let us know what you think! We also had the pleasure of delivering two custom 2' x 8' cedar planter boxes to a customer for his spring vegetable garden. We need to start on our garden as well! Cheers everyone and happy making.

Three Trees had a great time at a local small-town daffodil festival. We brought our yakisugi planters as well as an assortment of other items. As per usual, the crowds loved the cocktail smoker demonstrations! Somewhat surprisingly, our most popular item of the day was our Wood Wax. You really never know what's going to resonate at these markets. Now we have a bit of downtime before the next market to get some production in! Cheers everyone.

With cold-ish temps here in Oregon I had to move the finishing into the garage for some warmth. The next batch of yakisugi planter boxes is just about ready to roll. These premium cedar planter boxes get finished first with multiple coats of Outdoor Defense Oil, followed by multiple coats of pure tung oil. The result is a beautiful, extremely weather-resistant planter box that will last YEARS and certainly outlast the cheap, non-finished cedar boxes common to Facebook marketplace, etc.
